On December 10, 1986, the once vibrant Hollywood actress Susan Cabot is found dead in her Los Angeles home. Her son, Timothy Roman, is at the center of this chilling scene, having bludgeoned her with a weightlifting bar. The tragic incident stems from a night of terror, as Cabot awakens in a panic, attacking Timothy, which leads to a fatal confrontation.
