On October 24, 1943, the high-society world of New York City is shattered by the brutal murder of Patricia Lonergan, the so-called Brewery Heiress. Her estranged husband, Wayne Lonergan, a Royal Canadian Air Force pilot, becomes the prime suspect after fleeing to Toronto, leaving a trail of blood and intrigue.
